Bankhouse are proud to announce that their first debut feature film SOUTH, written and directed by Ger Walsh and produced by Matthew Toman, has had its Irish debut at the Galway Film Fleadh 2016.

SOUTH tells the story of Tom, a young man struggling with the recent death of his father. After finding a note from his estranged mother he decides to hit the road and try to find her. Throughout this journey while Tom tries to overcome his crippling stage fright as a musician he meets Jess, a free spirited young woman that captivates his mind and heart
The film stars Darragh O’Toole (RED ROCK, MOON BOY, ROY), Emily Lamey an up and coming actress from Belfast known for ‘Behind the Veil’ &’Every Breaking Wave’,  Day Like Today (Feature) U2 (Music Video), Joe Rooney (FATHER TED & KILLINASKULLY) and Andie McCaffrey Byrne (LOVE/HATE, A DAY LIKE TODAY, MNA)

Ger was delighted when her heard the news “Its always a great honour to get accepted into any film festival especially the Galway Fleadh, having A Day Like Today screened only year ago and now back with SOUTH I am over the moon”
